Cape Coral, FL (January 16, 2021) - Two people were taken to the hospital following a fiery crash in Cape Coral on Friday. The crash took place in the 3200 block of Del Prado Boulevard.
The Cape Coral Police Department was called to the scene just after the accident occurred. According to officers, Katelyhn Ower was driving a vehicle when she failed to navigate a curve and veered off the roadway before slamming into a tree. The car caught fire following the crash. Rescue crews responded and transported Ower and her passenger to a nearby hospital. Ower was listed in critical condition while the passenger was in good condition with non-life-threatening injuries. There were no other vehicles involved in the accident.
An investigation is ongoing at this time. Anyone with information on the accident is asked to call the Cape Coral Police Department at 239-574-3323.
