Gainesville, FL - Five Pedestrians Hurt After Crash on West University Ave.

Gainesville, FL (January 17, 2021) - Five pedestrians were taken to the hospital following a crash on West University Avenue in Gainesville on Saturday, January 16th. The accident took place near Fletcher Hall on the University of Florida campus.

At this time, there is no information on the events that led up to the crash. All five pedestrians were taken to a local hospital for treatment although their conditions are not known at this time. The Gainesville Police Department responded to the accident scene. None of the pedestrians have been identified at this time.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing. No additional details are available.
