Jacksonville, FL (January 18, 2021) - A 56-year-old woman suffered serious injuries in a crash with a semi-truck in Jacksonville on Monday morning. The crash occurred along I-95.

According to an initial report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the 56-year-old woman was driving a Jeep SUV in the right-hand lane when, for unknown reasons, her vehicle collided with a semi-truck that was traveling in the center lane of the roadway. The woman's vehicle then veered off the road and struck a guardrail. She was thrown from the SUV following impact. Rescue crews rushed to the scene and transported the woman to a nearby hospital where she was listed in critical condition. The truck driver was not injured in the accident. 

No one involved in the collision has been identified. An investigation is ongoing at this time.
