Jacksonville, FL (January 18, 2021) - Police and rescue workers responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle accident in Jacksonville on Monday, January 18th. The accident took place around 1:45 p.m. on West 45th Street near the intersection with Vernon Road.
The Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department was among the first agencies at the scene. According to a report from officials, several cars were involved in the accident but the cause of the crash is unclear at this time. At least five people sustained undisclosed injuries but the JFRD described the scene as a mass casualty incident. Multiple units were dispatched to respond to the collision. There is no word on the victims' condition at this time.
